My Hope.....

My hope with this blog is to provide up to date info on Cedar City. I plan on doing it in a lighthearted manner. No long articles taken from city meetings. If your like me you don't have the time or desire to read it. Same goes for the "latest" in Real Estate doom and gloom articles that are everywhere on the net. There are hundreds of other places to find those. You can check my website for buyer and seller guides as well as mortgage info. So I wont go into that here.
There is ALWAYS something going on in Cedar City, I'll do my best to keep up with it. We are the "Festival City" after all. Hopefully from the links I provided on the front page you can find any info I miss. Also if there is something specific you would like to know please post and I'll do my best to find it.
I LOVE living in Cedar City, its a simply wonderful place to have a home. Its small town living with all the conveniences you need and NO traffic. A common question I get asked is "Cedar is a small town will I have to drive very far to get anywhere"? My answer is always "no Cedar City is close to EVERYTHING. Its 45 minutes away from St. George for any big time shopping (Costco, Kohl's, Dillard's). Its 2 & 1/2 hours from Las Vegas if you need serious entertaining. (Some do some don't and everyone knows what vegas provides) And several awesome outlet malls. Its 3 hours away from Salt Lake City, if you feel like spending time in our capital city. Its less then 2 hours away from no less then 3 Breathtaking national parks. In the winter when its cold (there is no denying it, it gets cold here) you can drive an hour and a half and be in Mesquite. There the temp runs 70 degrees in Jan, perfect golfing weather.
But right here in Cedar City we have world class entertainment with the Tony award winning Shakespeare festival and the Neil Simon festival. Like I said earlier there is always something going on. This is someplace where there is just no excuse for someone being bored.
I could go on and on but I'll save it for further posts.
Best always
Stacey
